A few pictures from my visit to the Cullen Hall of Gems and Minerals at the Houston Museum of Natural Science last year. When I look at these alien-like formations, I wonder what else on our berry own Earth is just waiting to be discovered. Visiting this exhibit was so much fun and I hope to go back one day to become one with the minerals. In the meantime, collecting them will do!

I made this stuffed cat toy for Lil Ninja by recycling old scraps. I am going to make an entire army now including extremely tiny ones!

Becca and I practiced making a camo cake in preparation for my birthday in May. We tried to make black food coloring but we are going to need to work on that because all we could get was a caca brown.

Anyway, so I went to visit my friend Kelly and stored the cake in her fridge while I was there. The cake was literally a magnet to her two boys who couldn't resist the very sight of it. It was a total hit! Can't wait to try making it again as well as a tie-dye version!
